Why? Why do we want to recall that tragedy?
If you were a bystander, as I was, you were shocked, angered, saddened, and in awe that such a thing could happen on American soil. I was in California, awakened by a phone call from my daughter in Texas. I rolled out of bed and turned on the television. You probably remember where you were when you first heard the news that was hard to comprehend, “There’s been an attack on the Twin Towers.” Later in the day, attention was div to the Pentagon where a commercial airplane had plowed into the side of it…the side where I had worked, 3rd floor, 5th corridor. And still later, the plane that plowed into the ground in Pennsylvania, killing all aboard.
Listen with me to a story of survival told by Michelle Rosado who was on the 95th floor of Tower 2 during the attack on the Twin Towers. Pray with me for those who lost loved ones, those who may still suffer aftereffects, and those of us that were more distant. Never again.
